What is getting published!

Well, after reading the ELTA magazine i reflected on the articles that were published. I liked most of them, such as teaching vocabulary, teaching reading, or using technology in EFL classes. Eventhough i learned some new things that would be helpful to me and which i am going to use in my classes, some were things that we already knew, or things that were there but we hadn’t reflected on that.
I think that what gets published are new and specific ideas. Things that teachers are interested in and not generalisations or theory. What we need is practice, things that work, are effective and make the teaching process a rewarding one.

I think that my article on motivation might be of interest to EFL teachers in Albania, and why not in other countries. Motivation is very important. Many teachers complain that their students are not motivated and teaching has turned into routine and somewhat boring. As a result of trying different techniques in my classes i will show some effective ways on students motivation and what is that that really motivates them.
