Questions for the article “Using Anecdotes in Language Class”

After skimming and scanning the article I gave you in class, answer 2 or 3 of the following questions:

1. Tell one of the anecdotes that you have used in class? Was it planned or unplanned?

2. Why did this article get published? After all, storytelling has been around for centuries? What makes the presentation of this idea a new contribution to the language teachers?

3. Is there something that is part of your regular class routine that other teachers in Albania are not doing? Anecdotes are a regular part of Deniz’ classes. What is a technique or method that you have implemented?

4. Is there a place in your classroom for combining anecdotes and technology? Do your students enjoy telling stories? What types of stories do they like to tell? What medium do they use to tell stories?
