Today, the hallways of the Lincoln Centers were filled with children’s voices once again.
After the quiet of the summer, it was wonderful to hear the laughter, the quick footsteps, and the cheerful greetings that filled our centers as everyone returned. There was something especially beautiful about seeing the children come back after the holidays.
A new semester has begun. And with it come new beginnings: new lessons to learn, new friendships to make, new experiences to share, and so many little dreams that will slowly grow alongside our children.
Today, I watched Edlira, Brikena, Jonida, Anisa, Entela, Juleda, Irma, and all of our teachers welcome their students with the same dedication, warmth, and care that they bring to Lincoln every day. I also saw Beni and Shpëtimi, always there to greet the children and make our families feel welcome.
As I watched all of this happening around me, I found myself thinking about what Lincoln truly means. It is not only our classrooms, our programs, or the lessons we teach.
Lincoln is about people.
It is about the smiles that greet us at the door. It is about the teachers who give their time, energy, and heart to their students. It is about the children who arrive curious and eager to learn. It is about the parents who place their trust in us. And, perhaps most importantly, it is about the relationships we build every single day.
At the end of the day, I was left with a deep sense of gratitude.
Gratitude for our parents, who entrust us with what is most precious to them. Gratitude for our children, who remind us every day how wonderful it is to learn, grow, and discover the world. And gratitude for our team, whose dedication and care bring Lincoln to life every day.
As I looked around the centers today, I realized once again that Lincoln is much more than a place where children come to learn.
Welcome back, our children.
Here’s to a beautiful beginning at Lincoln.
